Palbasha Siddique, a 17-year-old high school student in Minneapolis, was actually paid by video game developer and YouTube star Matt Harding to record the song “Praan” (Bengali for “life”) for the video. Siddique may see profits that go beyond what Harding paid her. With the song in the top 10 sound track downloads and top 100 MP3’s overall on Amazon’s MP3 store (over Madonna and Mariah Carey), Siddique may be in line for a record deal.
